Web12 apr. 2024 · Observations. We triggered a few 6-8” small soft slabs in the wind exposed section at the top of the slot that were fairly inconsequential. The slabs were not particularly cohesive. Possibly enough to knock you off your feet, possibly not. The the interface was noticeable in more exposed areas, but buried in more stable snow lower down. Small slabs failed on multiple aspects with hand pit tests. I observed old rollerballs suggestive of wet loose avalanches in the past week, but this particular aspect appeared to be staying cold today and I did not see further evidence of new wet loose avalanches.
