Jasen, I have not done this, but in theory, if the RPMs are the same and the shaft diameter are the same, it should be simply a matter of removing the 3/4 HP motor and replacing it with the larger motor. Make sure that there is enough room for the larger motor and that the mounting bracket is compatible.
